Washington, D.C. — On Thursday, July 22nd at 7 p.m. ET, America Saves is hosting “#ThinkLikeASaver: Buying Your First Home,” the latest in a very popular and well-attended virtual Town Hall series which began as a way to help everyday Americans work toward better financial stability in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
AS WISCONSIN EMPLOYERS INCREASE HIRING, SMALL BUSINESSES ARE JOINING STATEWIDE EFFORT TO HELP WORKERS BUILD EMERGENCY SAVINGS
Seventy-one small to mid-size employers in Wisconsin, representing approximately 7,500 employees, are now actively promoting and encouraging saving automatically through split deposit to their employees.

Nohemi found out about America Saves a few years ago as an undergraduate at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She remembers attending a University of Illinois Saves event where she decorated a piggy bank and took the Pledge, but college life made her put the thought of saving at the back of her mind.

Los Angeles Saves Partner Spotlight
Los Angeles Saves launched its fifth campaign year in 2019. The campaign was initiated in 2015 by the FDIC Los Angeles Alliance for Economic Inclusion (AEI), which is composed of financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies that recognized the importance of saving in its economic inclusion endeavors.

The six banks and six credit unions stood out among the 365 financial institutions who participated in America Saves Week, which was held February 22–26, 2021.
