Connecticut Saves provides educational programs that benefit savers on a variety of topics, including financial literacy for young people and adults. Through America Saves, Connecticut Saves is able to further enhance its commitment to promoting the importance of saving.
At workshops and events, we always make a connection to saving. Whether it’s to teach families about budgeting, building credit or reducing debt, it’s important to provide targeted information and resources to help participants reach their financial goals.
To build a stronger connection with savers, we encourage them to take the America Saves pledge. This provides an even more engaging way for them to continue learning about saving money and improving their finances. It’s always a wonderful opportunity to introduce a person to saving money through the America Saves pledge because you never know how it may inspire them.
One woman took the America Saves pledge and made a commitment to save to take her daughter on a special vacation. She found the pledge motivational and was excited when they could go on that trip together.
Another woman and her husband took the America Saves pledge to save for a vacation. They were happy to report that they reached their savings goal. Their savings success was so rewarding because they weren’t able to reach their goal before taking the pledge.
Through America Saves, Connecticut Saves has been able to collaborate with similar organizations that are passionate about encouraging people to save. It’s so impactful to work together and reach more people through a large, collaborative network. When we work together, we come up with creative ideas to promote successful saving in our community.
America Saves provides us with resources and support, making it easier for us to do meaningful work.
