Saving is truly a family affair for Jeff’s household. During America Saves Week 2019, he pledged to save for retirement. But making a commitment and creating a plan to save isn’t a new concept for him.

“We did three things when each of our daughters were born: 1) filed for a social security number, 2) opened a credit union account in each daughter's name and, 3) started payroll deduction from our paychecks. We had time on our side. As savings accumulated, we invested in mutual funds over the years. We saved enough to pay for weddings for all three daughters AND pay for most of their college costs.”
